Siliguri, 26th August: The Siliguri organizational district committee of the BJP held a rally today to condemn the tragic killing of a minor girl in Siliguri and express concerns over the prevailing law and order situation in the city. Commencing from the Mahananda Bridge in Siliguri, the rally navigated through various routes and concluded at Hasmi Chowk (Venus More). Eminent figures from the BJP organizational district, including Darjeeling District MP Raju Bista, Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh, and Darjeeling MLA Neeraj Zimba, led the procession.

Raju Bista, addressing the gathering, criticized the state government and characterized such incidents in Siliguri as disgraceful for humanity. Expressing the collective sentiment for justice, Bista underscored the disheartening contrast between the family’s pursuit of justice and the alleged attempts by the police and government to shield the culprits.
