BJP held demonstrations alleging unavailability of nomination paper in Tufanganj, Cooch Behar

Cooch Behar, 09th June: Following the announcement of the date for the Panchayat Election by the West Bengal Election Commission, the filing of nominations has started today. On the first day itself reports surfaced regarding disturbances in the nomination process from various places.


Reportedly, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers alleged the unavailability of nomination papers in the BDO office, following which, the workers and supporters protested in front of the said office.

Meanwhile, BJP MLA Malti Rabha Roy of Tufanganj Assembly, who was also present at the occasion, expressed dissatisfaction at the preparedness of the administration with regard to the filing of nominations.
