Alipurduar, 06th February: BJP received another setback ahead of the Panchayat election after Alipurduar’s BJP MLA Suman Kanjilal joined TMC on Sunday. He joined TMC at Abhishek Banerjee’s office in Camac Street, Kolkata. The National General Secretary of All India Trinamool Congress welcomed him into the party by handing him the TMC’s flag.
In this regard, Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh said that Suman’s party change was not expected. Stating this he further added that if Suman was having trouble working at the party, then it would have been better if he had discussed it with the party before making such decisions. If nothing would culminate even after the discussion, then such a decision was reasonable to leave the post of MLA and change the party, Ghosh added.
