Alipurduar, 23rd October: BJP candidate Rahul Lohar from the Madarihat Assembly constituency filed his nomination accompanied by a rally, ahead of the by-elections. Significantly, the by-elections are scheduled for November 13 across six centers in the state.
According to reports, Lohar was accompanied by a vibrant procession on the way to the district administrative office to submit his nomination papers. The event was attended by prominent BJP leaders, including state president and Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar, Darjeeling MP Raju Bista, and Alipurduar MP Manoj Tigga.
During the rally, BJP leader Sukanta Majumdar emphasized the party’s commitment to contesting the by-elections with full vigor. He further expressed confidence in public support as the BJP is gearing up for the campaign in the lead-up to the elections.
