Phansidewa, 21st July: Panic spread in Dhamnagach area of Phansidewa after an alleged firing incident in which a house beside the roadside was targeted. Police have arrested one accused in connection with the case.
According to information, Phansidewa police launched an investigation after receiving a written complaint and arrested the main accused, identified as Mukul Biswas, a resident of Dalkhola.
The accused was produced before the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court on Tuesday.
According to police sources, a dispute over a marital relationship had been ongoing between the accused and the complainant’s family. Preliminary investigation suggests the alleged firing was linked to the dispute.
Police are continuing their investigation into the case.
