Cooch Behar, 13th July: BJP has called a 12-hour strike on Tuesday as a sign of protest against the mysterious death of Devendra Nath Roy, BJP MLA of Hematabad under North Dinajpur district.
Reportedly, the Cooch Behar district BJP, on Monday evening, staged a rally in support of the 12-hour bandh.
It has been learned that the rally commenced from the BJP party office, toured different parts of the city, and concluded at the party office again. District BJP president Malati Rava Roy and local BJP leaders and activists were present in the rally.
