Bagdogra, 15th March: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and members of Matua community carried out a grand procession in support of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Bagdogra.
Reportedly, on Friday, a grand procession was organized in support of CAA from Bagdogra Airport More to Panighata More. During the procession, the happiness of the members of Bagdogra Matua Mahasangha was visible.
In this regard, BJP leader Sajal Kanti Sarkar stated that the opposition is making attempts to mislead the common people. He added that the Prime Minister and the Home Minister have provided detailed information regarding the CAA. Further, he stated that the party is of the opinion that the state government is encouraging incorrect information.
