BJP activists protest over BJP candidate of Rajganj Assembly

Rajganj, 19th March: An outcry was witnessed among the Bharatiya Janata Party workers when Supen Roy was declared as the party’s candidate in the Rajganj assembly constituency. The activists asserted that they want a ‘Bhoomi Putra’ as the candidate for their assembly and will not accept an outsider.

Attacking Supen Roy, the BJP leaders said that he lacks the qualities of being a leader. Furthermore, Roy lives in the Fulbari assembly constituency area. Therefore, the leaders have declared to shut the party office in Rajganj assembly and not attend any party meetings from Saturday, if Supen Roy is not replaced by a local candidate.

It is to be noted, on Thursday night, BJP leaders protested and burnt an effigy of Jalpaiguri district president Bapi Goswami in the Ambari area.
