Siliguri, 16th January: Extreme cold weather gripped various parts of Siliguri following ‘Makar Sankranti’. In addition, several districts in North Bengal are also experiencing similar weather conditions.
As per the details, the city has recently experienced a significant drop in the temperature. Reportedly, the places have not encountered adequate exposure to the sun since Tuesday morning. Compounding the issue, the temperature continues to fall throughout the day. As a result, the number of people on the streets has decreased since the morning. People are seen lighting fires to break away from the cold.
