Siliguri, 01st December: Siliguri’s Bikash Ghosh Memorial Swimming Pool is all set to open this new year. The swimming pool had been closed for many years due to various reasons including the pandemic. Finally, today the Mayor of Siliguri Goutam Deb handed over the keys to the swimming pool manager Swapan Das and Jayant Banerjee.
During this, Mayor Goutam Deb said that with the demand of the residents and sports lovers, the Bikash Ghosh Memorial Swimming Pool will open from January 01. On the other hand, Jayant Banerjee, ecstatic after getting the responsibility of the swimming pool again, said that a large number of people from Siliguri and surrounding areas come to the pool. At the same time, he said that on the demand of women, a shed would be arranged above the swimming pool.
