Naxalbari, 10th November: In the demand of a separate state of Gorkhaland, the Bharatiya Gorkha Mahasangh submitted a memorandum across the district on Thursday. The memorandum has been addressed to the nation’s Prime Minister demanding the formation of a separate Gorkhaland state before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The committee members submitted the said memorandum to the BDO at Naxalbari BDO office today urging him to forward it to the Prime Minister’s office. Today, apart from Naxalbari, a similar memorandum will be submitted to the Sub Divisional Officer of Siliguri and the District Magistrate of Darjeeling.
