BGPM distributes first round of panchayat election tickets to Mungpoo Labda constituency candidates

Mungpoo, 13th June: In line with other districts of the state, the Darjeeling hill region is witnessing the submission of nomination papers for the upcoming panchayat elections, scheduled to be held on July 8 after a 23-year hiatus. Amidst the ongoing process, the Bhartiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha (BGPM) distributed tickets for the first phase of the Mungpoo Labda constituency panchayat elections.


The Regional Assembly Member Ratan Kumar Thapa handed out tickets to eight candidates from Labda Gram Panchayat and six candidates from Rongchong Gram Panchayat today. Furthermore, two candidates from Rongchong Gram Panchayat and one candidate from Labda Gram Panchayat were provided tickets for the Panchayat Committee. These nominated candidates promptly visited the Takdah Block Development Office to submit their nomination papers, as confirmed by party sources.
