Bengal reported it first COVID-19 death among the medical fraternity on Sunday. The Medical Officer Dr. Biplab Kanti Dasgupta died late last night at a private hospital in Kolkata. He held the charge of Additional Director of Health Services in West Bengal.
The Medical Officer’s wife has also tested positive for the virus.
