Bengal bi-weekly lockdown: Strict surveillance being kept by police in Siliguri

Siliguri, 27th August: A complete lockdown is being observed across the state today as per the Bengal’s biweekly lockdown guidelines.


Strict surveillance is being kept by the police in different parts of the city to monitor the lockdown situation, since this morning. Naka checking is being carried out at various traffic points.

While the city’s main roads wore a deserted look, several people were spotted roaming around the streets breaching lockdown protocols. Acting promptly, the police detained them and strict legal actions will be taken against them.


Besides, some were spotted holding their ears and seeking forgiveness after they were caught breaching lockdown restrictions.

Meanwhile, the Pradhan Nagar police also launched operations in Siliguri Regulated Market and detained several lockdown breachers.
