Siliguri, 16th March: Basanta Utsav was celebrated on Wednesday under the management of voluntary organization Unique Foundation and Annya Dhrupad, and also with the assistance of Siliguri Subrata Sangha. Transgenders and people with special needs were present in the programme.
On behalf of Unique Foundation, Anup Basu said, “Every year we celebrate the day with people from different walks of life. This time, Basanta Utsav was organized with transgenders and people with special needs.”
Trans woman Kajal said, “It feels very good to celebrate the spring festival. May all the evil forces be defeated and may the society become more beautiful.”
