Siliguri, 16th February: Music composer and singer Bappi Lahiri passed away at Mumbai’s CritiCare Hospital today. He was 69.
The news of his demise has cast a shadow of mourning on his relatives who live in Court more, Siliguri. Recently, Bappi Lahiri could not pay a visit to his aunt’s house due to the pandemic. However, his elder brother and other family members had planned to travel to Mumbai.
His elder brother Bhabatosh Chowdhury said “Both of us grew up together. Bappi frequently used to come to Siliguri to meet us. All memories are coming afresh.”
