Siliguri, 28th February: In a recent development, the cops of NJP police station have apprehended a Bangladeshi national for illegally entering India from the Amaidighi border adjacent to Fulbari. The arrested youth has been identified as Mohammad Jasimmudin (22).
According to reports, on Tuesday night, locals spotted a young man wandering suspiciously in the Amaidighi area of Fulbari. Subsequently, the matter was reported to the police.
Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the spot and arrested the youth. Following an interrogation, the police learned that the youth was a resident of Thakurgaon in Bangladesh and had entered India in search of work.
On Wednesday, the arrested youth was produced before the Jalpaiguri Court. Currently, the police are engaged in further investigation.
