Kharibari, 10th February: Sensation ensued at the Indo-Nepal Border after a Bangladeshi, tried to enter India by showing fake documents and forged Indian identity. The accused identified as Swapan Das has been arrested at the Indo-Nepal border.
Reportedly, Bangladeshi national Swapan Das showed an Indian driving license document while entering India from Nepal at Panitanki on the Indo-Nepal border in Kharibari. SSB jawans doubted the license. After this, he was taken into custody and interrogated and the entire incident came to the fore after inquiry. After which he was arrested and handed over to the Kharibari police.
Police have recovered several documents from the mobile phone of the accused. The accused will be produced in the Siliguri Divisional court today.
