Siliguri, 29th May: The North Bengal wing of the Bangiya Hindu Mahamancha has raised demands for education reforms in West Bengal, including Assam-style reforms, along with a probe into alleged illegal madrasas and action against institutions built on encroached land.
On Friday, members of the organisation submitted a memorandum to the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Magistrate, addressed to the Chief Minister.
The organisation stated that their demand is aimed at improving the overall education system and ensuring proper learning opportunities for all sections of society. They emphasized that the objective is better education access and stricter regulation of institutions.
The memorandum also called for an investigation into alleged illegal madrasas and administrative action against institutions operating in violation of rules, along with stricter enforcement of education-related regulations.
