Naxalbari, 06th October: Acting on a tip-off, the Bagdogra Forest Department recovered a large quantity of stolen timber in the Meriview Tea Garden area in Naxalbari. However, no arrest has been made in the incident.
On Wednesday, forest workers under the leadership of Ranger Sameeran Raj of Bagdogra Forest Department recovered more than 100 CFT of stolen timber. The market value of the recovered timber is said to be around several lakh rupees.
