Siliguri, 08th March: BAAGHINI -2, a four-day training workshop, commenced for 100 women of and above the age of 16 years in Self Defence Techniques, Legal Awareness, and familiarization with various Police Units. The programme was inaugurated today on International Women’s Day on behalf of Siliguri Police Commissionerate.
Earlier too, 100 women from different quarters were trained during the training session of BAAGHINI-1. Legal awareness of women, self-defense training, yoga meditation, and many other subjects were covered on behalf of high-ranking metropolitan officers, Air Force pilots, and district magistrates.
The training of BAAGHINI -2 commenced on Tuesday at the Police Commissionerate ground. Police Commissioner Gaurav Sharma inaugurated the workshop and said that this initiative has been taken to strengthen women and girls and boost their morale.
