Siliguri, 16th January: The Bidhannagar Welfare Society, today, raised awareness among motorcycle riders and vehicle drivers in a different way. The members of the Society, with the help of Ghoshpukur Traffic Police and school children, advised motorists riding without helmets, to follow the traffic rules by feeding them Pitha Puli (a type of rice cake), today.
Traffic OC Sanjiv Dutta stated that the Bidhannagar Welfare Society had taken a unique initiative on road safety. During the event, the founder of the Society Bapan Das, social worker Mintu Das, and Raju Das were present.
