Raiganj, 16th February: In the attempt to murder case of a drug dealer Sushanta Sarkar in Raiganj, the Raiganj police arrested seven men. 2 firearms, six rounds of live bullet cartridges, a motorcycle and 26 thousand rupees have been recovered from their possession.
In a press conference, the Raiganj District Police Superintendent stated that more people are involved behind the attempted murder of Sarkar. Some drug dealers are also suspected in the incident.
The arrested accused were produced before the Raiganj court today and were sent to 4-day police remand.
Under the leadership of Suraj Thapar (IC of the Raiganj police station), the police have launched a further investigation into the incident.
