Siliguri, 07th August: The 79th death anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore was observed at Siliguri Baghajatin Park today on behalf of Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
Reportedly, Ashok Bhattacharya, Chairman of the administrative board at SMC, paid tribute to the Bengali poet and garlanded his statue.
Apart from Bhattacharya, Co-ordinator Joy Chakraborty, members of West Bengal Gananatya Sangstha and West Bengal Vigyan Mancha were present during the programme.
Besides, a tree plantation programme was also held in Baghajatin Park.
