Ashok Bhattacharya campaigns in Bidhan Market, taunts Shankar Ghosh

Siliguri, 13th March: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) leader Ashok Bhattacharya campaigned in the Bidhan Market area of Siliguri on Saturday. He spoke to the businessmen of the market and heard their grievances. Bhattacharya stated that there is a serious need to reconstruct the Bidhan Market to make it a permanent business hub for the traders.

Taking a jibe at former CPIM leader Shankar Ghosh who recently joined the BJP, Bhattacharya called him a disgrace to politics and said that no one likes an “Aaya Ram Gaya Ram”.

He further claimed that his party will remain unaffected no matter where Shankar Ghosh stands for election. Earlier today, while campaigning in Ward No. 29 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation Ashok Bhattacharya accused Ghosh of being a traitor and of leaking the party’s confidential information to others.
