Arrested Pakistani woman pleads to stay in India prior to court appearance

Kharibari, 28th November: In recent developments in the Pakistani woman arrest case, the arrested woman Shaista Hanif pleaded to live in India before appearing in the court. It has to be noted that Shaista was arrested at the India-Nepal border in Panitanki for illegally entering India.


Reportedly, on Tuesday, the woman claimed to be innocent before being taken to the court from the Kharibari police station. The woman stated that she wanted to come to India because of her blood relations with the country. Due to the unavailability of an Indian visa, she attempted to enter India via Nepal but was arrested upon entering.

In this regard, Shaista Hanif has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister of the state pleading to permit her stay in the country. While citing another circumstance, the woman questioned, if Seema Haider has been permitted to live in India, she should also be given the preference. Furthermore, the woman stated her desire to live with her sister in India.
