Another accused of Michael Madhusudan Colony robbery case arrested

Siliguri, 30th July: The police arrested another man on the charges of robbery. The arrested accused has been identified as Santosh Barman, a resident of the Mathabhanga area.


It is to be noted that a burglary took place at Biplab Chakraborty’s residence in Michael Madhusudan Colony on July 18. Based on the complaints, the NJP police launched operations and arrested two men. Stolen items were recovered from their possession.

After intense interrogation, the police learned regarding another person involved in the incident. Following this, the police successfully got hold of the accused Santosh Barman on Wednesday. He was produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Thursday.


According to police sources, the gang was behind multiple thefts that occurred in different areas including the Dabgram-Fulbari region.
