Siliguri, 21st January: A US national was arrested with a satellite phone in Siliguri’s Bagdogra airport before leaving for Delhi from Bagdogra. The accused has been identified as Thomas Esroh.
Reportedly, Thomas Esroh reached Bagdogra airport via Sikkim on Friday and was heading to Delhi via flight. During checking at Bagdogra airport, CISF searched his bag and recovered the satellite phone. Later the accused was handed over to the Bagdogra police.
According to the information, the American citizen came to India on January 12. Today the accused was produced in Siliguri court. The police started investigating the entire incident.
