INTUC leader Alok Chakraborty rejoined the Trinamool Congress just ahead of the Bengal Assembly polls.
Earlier in 2016, TMC leaders, including Alok Chakraborty, who was the INTTUC District President and later the working president of the party’s Darjeeling District Committee, and Jyoti Tirkey, district president of the party’s women’s wing, joined the Congress.
On Tuesday, the duo rejoined their former party in Kolkata. Senior TMC leader Partha Chatterjee handed them the party flag. Darjeeling District TMC President Ranjan Sarkar was also present during the occasion. Apart from Chakraborty, Jyoti Tirkey also joined Trinamool Congress today.
