Allegations of Trinamool setting fire to BJP party office in Siliguri spark controversy

Siliguri, 23rd June: A fire broke out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office in Siliguri, leading to accusations from the BJP against the ruling party. However, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has categorically denied the allegations, terming them baseless.


According to reports, the fire occurred at the office of BJP’s Circle No. 4 Committee, situated near Surya Nagar Maidan in Ward No. 23 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation. The incident resulted in the destruction of various items, including office furniture. The cause of the fire could not be immediately determined at the time of reporting.

Addressing the media after the incident, Prasenjit Pal, President of BJP’s Circle No. 4 Committee, claimed that miscreants affiliated with the Trinamool Congress deliberately set the office ablaze during the night in an attempt to undermine the BJP’s position in the said ard. Pal demanded a thorough investigation into the matter to ascertain the truth.


In response to the allegations, Bablu Pal, TMC District Secretary, strongly refuted the claims, stating that such kind of politics does not exist in Siliguri. He dismissed the accusations made by the BJP as baseless.
