Alipurduar, 14th June: The Dooars region in the Alipurduar district is facing significant challenges as incessant rains continue to lash the area. Reportedly, the location witnessed heavy downpours since Thursday night.
The intensity of rainfall has begun to increase since Friday morning, with Alipurduar recording a staggering 140.20 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours. Significantly, the local presence in the area has been impacted due to the adverse weather conditions.
In addition to the predicament, the water level in rivers, including Torsha and Kaljani is evidently increasing.
