Siliguri, 28th August: The members of the district committee of All India Progressive Women’s Association (AIPWA) staged a sit-in protest in support of multiple demands.
Numerous demands including providing 10 thousand rupees to each person affected by the COVID-19 lockdown, waiver of debts of self-help group women were presented during the demonstration programme.
The protestors warned of staging larger demonstrations if their demands are not met soon.
