Siliguri, 02nd May: SMC Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya stated that the lack of administrative coordination has once again created an atmosphere of panic in the city and urged the State government to be transparent about the present COVID-19 situation as it will help the general public remain aware of the current situation.
The Mayor further added that the state government should immediately set up COVID-19 hospitals and labs in different areas of the entire North Bengal region and provide proper access to medical facilities.
On the other hand, the SMC Health department council Shankar Ghosh raised questions regarding the classification of zones. In response to his queries, Bhattacharya stated that the citizens still do not have a clear idea in this regard and the state government must provide all the information to the general public.
