Chopra, 30th November: One person was killed while the other was injured after being hit by a lorry at Chopra bus stand in Uttar Dinajpur district. The deceased has been identified as Suraj Hembram.
Reportedly, Suraj and his colleague were returning to Marichjhapi from Chopra Tut Bagan last night, during which, a lorry lost control near the bus stand and hit their motorcycle. Suraj, who was the pillion rider, died on the spot. On the other hand, the other person was severely injured. He was rescued and rushed to the hospital.
The police sent the body for an autopsy and have started investigating the whole incident.
