7-year-old boy suffers from Japanese Encephalitis in Siliguri, family appeals for help

Siliguri, 4th March: 7-year-old Jiyush Sarkar, the son of Jatika Sarkar and a resident of the B Block of Surya Sen Colony in Siliguri, is suffering from an incurable decease known as the ‘Japanese Encephalitis’. The mother and family of the child have appealed for the public’s help in their son’s medical treatment.


According to the information, Jatika Sarkar’s husband works as a Toto driver. Their seven-year-old son Jiyush has been suffering from Japanese Encephalitis for the past two months and need a large sum of money for the treatment. Jatika’s husband had previously travelled to Bengaluru with the assistance of neighbours for his son’s medical treatment. However, due to a shortage of funds, he was forced to return home with Jiyush after only a few days of treatment.

Currently, the child is bed-ridden owing to a lack of treatment. Meanwhile, doctors have advised them to continue the treatment. In such a case, the child’s mother and family members have turned to the public for assistance.
