Siliguri, 06th November: A case of sex racket operating in a flat of a residential area of Khelaghar More area under Ward No. 17 of Siliguri came to the fore.
Tension ensued in the said area on Saturday night over the incident. Reportedly, Councilor Milli Sinha received a call from the area of Khelaghar More reporting obscene work conducted by playing loud music in a flat. On receiving the complaint, Councilor Milli Sinha along with the members of Ward No. 17 reached the said apartment located at Khelaghar More and also informed the Siliguri Police.
On receiving the news, the police reached the spot and arrested 4 people and rescued 3 women from the flat. Speaking in this regard, Milli Sinha said that illicit activities were operating in the said apartment in Siliguri for a long time. House owners often rent tenants without any right information about them and are further advised to be careful before renting their properties. She said that the police have been asked to take strict action.
