250 families abandon BJP, join TMC ahead of Panchayat Elections

Rajganj, 24th June: Ahead of the Panchayat elections, a significant development has occurred as 250 families have chosen to sever ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and join the Trinamool Congress. The transition took place during a gathering held at Jhanju Para in Pani Kauri Gram Panchayat of the Rajganj block, where BJP workers and supporters joined hands with Arindam Banerjee, the President of Trinamool Congress’s Rajganj block, as part of the event. Local leaders, including Sarbani Dhara, the Panchayat Samiti candidate, and Deepali Roy, the Panchayat candidate, were present during the program.


Expressing his delight, Arindam Banerjee, the Rajganj Block President of Trinamool Congress, announced that approximately 250 families from the Jhanju Para booth of Pani Kauri Gram Panchayat had left the BJP and joined Trinamool Congress. He emphasized that this transition has significantly bolstered the strength and influence of the party.
