Kharibari, 10th March: Police have arrested 2 individuals in connection with the theft of sand from Dumuria River in Kharibari. The accused have been identified as Shibu Das and Sagar Munda, both residents of Kharibari.
According to police sources, the cops of Kharibari police station seized two tractors loaded with sand while transporting towards Kharibari. The 2 people were instigated as they failed to provide valid documents for the load.
On Monday, the accused were sent to the Siliguri Sub-Divisional court. Further investigations are underway.
