Rajganj, 13th December: A teenager from Fulbari lost his life in an alleged elephant attack in Lataguri. The deceased has been identified as Biplab Sarkar (17). The incident has cast a shadow of mourning over the entire area.
It has been learned that Biplab Sarkar, a resident of Kanchanbari under Fulbari No. 2 Gram Panchayat in Rajganj block, went to a resort in Lataguri for catering work of a wedding ceremony, on Friday. On Saturday, he took a break from work and went on a tour. As he did not return, his co-workers started looking for him. Later, his body was recovered from the forest. Seeing the type of injuries on the body, it has been assumed that he was trampled to death by an elephant.
After receiving the news, the Lataguri Range of the forest department and Kranti outpost police reached the spot and recovered the body.
The mourning family members and neighbors of the deceased said that apart from academics, Biplab used to work as a caterer. He also was a good football player.
