The Election Commission of India has scheduled the date for the 16th Presidential election as 18th July, 2022 and the counting of votes will be carried out on 21st July. A total of 4,809 electors comprising MPs and MLAs will vote to elect a new president. Ram Nath Kovind’s tenure will be ending on 24th July following which the new President will be declared on 25th July.
