Rajganj, 08th September: 150 families left BJP and other parties and joined TMC during a programme on Tuesday at Karatoya of Majhiyali Gram Panchayat in Rajganj block.
The Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority (SJDA) Chairman Vijay Chandra Barman and Rajganj MLA Khageshwar Roy handed over the party flag to the newcomers and welcomed them.
In this regard, MLA Khageshwar Roy stated that several people left BJP as the party could not fulfil its promise made during the Lok Sabha polls.
Rajganj Panchayat Samiti President Purnima Roy, Rajganj Block Trinamool Congress Chairman Mosharraf Hossain, Rajganj Block President Laikkhya Mohan Roy, Ahidar Rahman, Majhiyali Pradhan Khukumoni Roy, Sukhani Anchal Pradhan Shampa Dutta, and many others were present during the programme.
