14 lockdown violators arrested in Jalpaiguri

Jalpaiguri, 03rd April: Despite repeated reminders to stay home and not to loiter unnecessarily, there have been complaints of people gathering at various corners around Jalpaiguri district and deliberately violating the lockdown.


On Friday, the Jalpaiguri Kotwali Police launched operations in various areas of the district and arrested 14 offenders. The District Administration, Police and Municipality officials are continuously raising awareness by miking and urging the citizens to stay indoors. Yet, huge crowds are being spotted in the city ignoring government guidelines.

As per the report, the police launched operations in the Kadamtala, Dinbazar, Merchant Road, and several other areas and nabbed 14 violators, this morning. The arrested accused were produced before the Jalpaiguri District Court today.
