Siliguri, 20th August: The 125th birth anniversary of legendary footballer Gostho Pal was observed in Siliguri, on Friday.
The day was celebrated in front of Kanchenjunga Stadium under the initiative of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. Apart from renovating the statue, beautification work has commenced on behalf of the governing body of SMC.
Administrator of Siliguri Municipal Corporation Goutam Deb and other members paid homage to the statue of Gostho Pal.
Deb said “Although statues were established, they were not renovated. We have planned to renovate all the statues in the city.
