110th Upanayan Diwas of Rajbanshi Kshatriya community organized in Rajganj

Rajganj, 10th February: International Rajbangshi Kshatriya Milan Diwas and Kulguru Kulshishya Sammelan were held in Rajganj on the occasion of the 110th Upanayan Diwas of the Rajbanshi Kshatriya community. The festival was organized on the banks of the river Mehendigach Karatoya river in Ambari under the management of the Jalpaiguri District Committee of Kulguru Kulshishya and Bhakt Samaj Seva Sansthan.


Along with many renowned people from different parts of the country, people from Bangladesh and Nepal were also present at this ceremony.


Karunakanta officer, Vice-Chancellor and President of the Jalpaiguri District Committee of Bhakt Samaj Seva Sangstha stated that Shiva Puja, Ganga Puja, Shakti Sancharini Puja, and Radha Gobind Puja will be performed in the first phase of the ceremony and, the main programme will be held in the second phase by hoisting the organization flag and garlanding the picture of Thakur Panchanan Verma.

He further stated that more than 2 hundred teenagers and youths have become a part of Kshatriyas through Upanayana. After the program, a meeting will be conducted to discuss the need for Upanishads and Thakur Panchanan in Rajbanshi society.

Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy, Matigara-Naxalbari MLA Anandmoy Barman, Majhiyali Pradhan Khukumoni Roy, and the organization’s advisor Hardev Adhikari were also present.
