Dooars, 10th April: Nine buffaloes were killed when a container truck carrying them overturned in the Chilapata area this morning. According to local sources, the container was going heading towards Sonapur from Hasimara when it lost control and overturned near the Chilapata Forest check post.
Several people including the driver of the vehicle were injured in the incident. Out of the 40 buffaloes in the container, 09 died on the spot. On the other hand, the police reached the spot and along with the locals rescued the animals.
