₹80,000 cash seized during pre-election naka checking in Belakoba

Rajganj, 21st April: A sum of ₹80,000 in cash was seized during strict pre-election surveillance in Belakoba. The operation was jointly carried out by Central Forces, the Election Commission’s SST team, and the Belakoba Outpost police as part of routine naka checking in the area. According to sources, a vehicle was intercepted at the Battala area of Belakoba during a regular checkpoint inspection. Upon searching the vehicle, officials recovered bundles of cash from a small bag kept inside. The seizure of such an amount just ahead of the elections has created a stir among residents. Authorities have initiated verification procedures to determine whether the recovered cash is supported by valid documentation.
