Siliguri, 24th July: A young man lost his life after being hit by a train in Siliguri. The incident surfaced on Sunday night near the Medical More rail gate adjacent to Shiv Mandir. The deceased has been identified as Suraj Urav (24), a resident of Bidhan Pally.
According to reports, Suraj was returning home after work from Phansidewa, last night, by crossing the railway track. During this, he was hit by Kanchankanya Express (Down) train and he succumbed to his fatal injuries. Upon receiving the news of the incident, the Government Railway Police (GRP) team arrived at the spot and recovered the deceased’s body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. Today, the body of the deceased was handed over to the family after the autopsy. At present, GRP is investigating the entire incident.
