14-foot python rescued from fishing net in Haricharan Bhita village of Rajganj

Rajganj, 19th June: A giant python measuring around 14 feet got trapped in a fishing net at Haricharan Bhita village under Rajganj block on Friday. The reptile was later rescued by the Forest Department.

According to local sources, a few villagers working in a field noticed something large entangled in a net during the morning. Initially, they assumed that a big fish had been caught. However, upon moving closer and inspecting the net, they discovered a massive python trapped inside.

The villagers then informed the Forest Department under the Ambari Range. Upon receiving the information, forest personnel rushed to the spot and began rescue operations. After considerable effort, the python was successfully freed from the net.

According to Forest Department sources, the snake sustained minor injuries after getting entangled in the net. It has been provided necessary treatment and will be released into a suitable forest area once it fully recovers.
