Rajganj, 30th April: Sensation prevailed in the area after the dead body of a youth was found hanging from the noose at East Dhantola area under Fulbari no. 2 Gram Panchayat. The deceased has been identified as Shubham Haldar (18).
According to reports, Shubham slept right after dinner on Saturday night. But this morning, his mother, while doing household works, saw him hanging from a tree near their house. In utter shock, the mother screamed, which alerted other family members and neighbours, who came running to the spot.
Immediately, the matter was reported to NJP Police Station. The police, upon receiving the news reached the spot and recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for autopsy. Reportedly, the family is clueless as to why Shubham took such an extreme step. Meanwhile, police have already initiated an investigation regarding the entire incident.
