Hasimara, 27th June: A bike rider lost his life in a road accident on the national highway in Hasimara area on Sunday night. The deceased has been identified as Abhishek Manda, a resident of Uttar Satali village in Kalchini Block.
Reportedly, Abhishek was heading from Madarihat on a motorcycle when an unidentified vehicle allegedly hit him near Hasimara Torsa Bridge and fled away. The youth died on the spot.
Meanwhile, Hasimara police reached the spot and recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. Police have started an investigation of the entire incident.
